Yesterday’s maintenance
Hey there, It’s Michael from the Splitt Management Team! On the behalf of the technical team I would like to give you here a short summary about yesterday’s maintenance.
What happened yesterday?
One of our European servers, which also houses a cluster of our accounting and profit management systems, was affected by the change from summer to winter time. An important major update, which was supposed to update our accounting servers the day before yesterday, was missing there.
The revenue data of our mining farms could therefore not be synchronized correctly – which led to a one-hour error for some accounts.
*What is being done to prevent this from happening in the future? * The technicians were able to fix the problem within an hour. In order to eliminate this in the future, the fallback methods of our accounting system were revised so that a faulty cluster would not cause any problems.
*What should I do, if my account was affected by maintenance? * The affected contract will be extended accordingly automatically.
