The Genesis Trade Investment Plan.
In our recent “First Thoughts” article about Genesis Trade, we summarized the program’s investment plan in the following way:
For the investor, Genesis Trade offers a rather unique investment plan. At first glance, it appears to have eight different levels. However, it is really a single very coherent package with each level corresponding to a person’s investment amount. In addition, a person can choose the length of time for which he would like to invest — from one to eight weeks. This creates a matrix of eight rows corresponding to investment amount and eight columns corresponding to the number of weeks in the investment period. The Genesis Trade investment plan is an “After” plan and, as the website states, “Your principal and interest will be returned after the selected period of time – 1 week minimum, 8 weeks maximum.” Each element of the matrix gives the total gross return that you will receive at the end of the variation of the plan that you select. This selection is made when you make a deposit. Specifically, you must select the “amount of deposit” and the “period of deposit.” A few quick calculations tell me that, even for low investment amounts and fairly short investment terms, the Genesis Trade investment plan is quite lucrative. However, it is not SO lucrative that returns it promises would appear to be impossible for the company to pay.
Following is a table showing the first four levels of the Genesis Trade Investment plan as given in the website. For each investment range, the table gives the gross interest paid for different lengths of the plan. I have omitted the second four levels of the table (as given in the website), as these levels correspond to investments of $5,000 and more. We at EmilyNews discourage our readers from investing large sums of money in ANY online investment program unless you can convince yourself that it is as reliable as a corporation selling stock market shares. Sadly, few, if any, HYIPs are in that category). However, the complete table is in the website in case you have $5,000 or more that you would like to gamble with…
- Gross Interest Paid by Plan for Different Investments and Plan Lengths
- Min Invest Weeks
- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
- $1 112% 125% 139.6% 156% 175% 196% 219% 244%
- $100 112.5% 126.4% 142% 160% 180% 202% 226% 252%
- $500 113.2% 128% 145% 164% 185% 208% 233% 260%
- $1,000 114% 130% 148% 168% 190% 214% 240% 268%
Analysis of the Genesis Trade Investment Plan.
Since you do not receive any return at all from this plan until it ends, that is obviously when you will break even. Remember that you choose the length of the plan — anywhere from one up to eight weeks long.
Now, let’s average out the net profit that you will receive from each variation of the plan over its length to come up with the average daily net interest (DNI) that you will earn from that variation of the plan. Since your investment is returned to you at the end of the plan, and assuming that the program survives until the end of the variation of the plan that you have chosen, the total NET interest that you will receive from a plan will be the total GROSS interest as given in the table minus 100% — because the gross return includes your investment (principal). For example, referring to the table, an investment of $100 for six weeks will give you a total gross interest of 202%. Subtracting 100% from this, you get a total net interest of 102%. There are 42 days in a six-week period. So, averaging this interest out over the 42 days by dividing by 42, you get a DNI of 2.43% (102/42).
If you repeat these calculations for every value in the table, you come up with a table of DNIs for the different lengths of plan for each investment level. Here’s what this looks like:
- DNI Paid by Plan for Different Investments and Plan Lengths
- Min Invest Weeks
- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
- $1 1.71% 1.79% 1.89% 2.00% 2.14% 2.29% 2.43% 2.57%
- $100 1.79% 1.89% 2.00% 2.14% 2.29% 2.43% 2.57% 2.71%
- $500 1.89% 2.00% 2.14% 2.29% 2.43% 2.57% 2.71% 2.86%
- $1,000 2.00% 2.14% 2.29% 2.43% 2.57% 2.71% 2.86% 3.00%
The results of these calculations, as presented in this table, astounded me! Rarely in the HYIP business have I seen an investment program that is so precisely designed. If you look at the numbers, you can see a very clear pattern: the longer that you invest and/or the more you invest, the greater your return will be. This completely logical. However, the amazing thing, as far as I’m concerned, is the repeating pattern displayed by the numbers in the table. It is obvious that, whoever designed this investment plan put a good deal of thought into it (this is not always the case when you look at some of the haphazard and illogical investment plans offered by other HYIPs). So, it appears that someone else other than we at EmilyNews appreciates the importance of DNI as a measure of the true earning power of an HYIP. I feel that this attention to detail is a strong point of the investment plan.
But we are getting ahead of ourselves here. In Part 2 of this review, we will discuss the pros and cons of the Genesis Trade investment plan. Please stand by. Part 2 will be available in a few more days.
