As claimed, there is a new startup from Switzerland that could sanitize/disinfect planes to help bring the tourism industry back to normal. Swiss startup UVeya has developed a device that kills coronavirus using ultraviolet radiation. The robot is being tested on Helvetic Airways aircraft. It disinfects and stops automatically when work is complete, avoiding human-machine contact. This technique has been used in hospitals and laboratories for half a century.
🚀 The implementation of this development is expected to help restore passenger confidence and revitalize the tourism industry affected by the pandemic.
☝️Aircraft manufacturers will have to certify the novelty. They are now studying the effect of UV radiation on upholstery, which can fade after repeated disinfection. Nevertheless, the company hopes that disinfection robots will help reduce people’s fear of flying even in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
🦾 At the moment, three prototypes are ready, which are being tested. One robot can disinfect a narrow-body aircraft from start to finish in 13 minutes.
