Aurum Bank Joins the Battle.
Well, this “battle” got off to quite a start. We found out that our imaginary investor could deposit $1,000 with Gcprofits and wind up with nearly $12,000,000 six months later! Of course, we have reservations about whether or not this is possible. But, let’s put those concerns aside for a while and see what Aurum Bank has to offer. Remember, at the beginning of this article we pointed out that both of these programs offer fairly high interest rates. Is it possible that Aurum Bank has something that is as crazy as what Gcprofits came up with? Let’s take a look at the Aurum Bank investment plans and see…
Although Aurum Bank has five investment plans, each of which have five sub-plans within them, only eight of the 25 plans are within the reach of a person with $1,000 to invest. These are the first two sub-plans of each of the first four main investment plans. Next, if you examine the first two plans, the Stable and Classic plans, you find that the interest paid is much less than the fourth plan, the Premium plan. So, we won’t consider those first plans as possibilities for our investment. This only leaves the third plan, the Prestige plan, and the fourth plan, the Premium plan. However, I think we will find that they will offer us plenty of excitement when we start to see how a person’s money can grow in a six month period.
The Prestige plan is a one shot deal. You invest a certain amount of money and then your principal and interest are returned to you at the end of the investment plan term. The Premium plan pays interest daily. It also returns your principal to you at the end of the investment term. In addition, this plan offers a compounding option. So, you can have some or all of your daily earnings reinvested automatically every day.
First let’s see how much money we can make from the Prestige plan with our $1,000 investment in a 180 day period. We’ll use the first sub-plan that pays 6,500% after 154 calendar days. Investing our $1,000, we will have $65,000 (1,000 x 6500/100) in the 154 days. Not bad at all. But, we still have 26 calendar days left before we reach the 180 days. I think that the most lucrative place to put it will be in the third Partner sub-plan that pays a daily interest of 15% for 15 work days or 21 calendar days (this will pretty much take care of our 180 day time period. This plan permits compounding and it returns your principal at the end of the plan. So, depositing our $65,000 into it (this happens to be the minimum investment permitted), the calculator in the account section of your website indicates that your return will be $528,909. Not too bad…
OK, now let’s take a look at what the Premium plan has to offer. We’ll put our $1,000 into the first sub-plan that pays 7% daily for 110 workdays (or 154 calendar days) plus we will compound ALL of our daily earnings, maxing out the size of our principal. This is a good thing to do since this plan returns your principal at the end of the plan. There is a calculator in the account section of your website that will tell you what your return will be and, for this scenario, it comes to (brace yourself!) $1,706,929! Wow! And, we still have 26 calendar days left to reinvest this somewhere. Like in the previous calculation, let’s move to the Partner plan, specifically the fifth sub-plan since our investment is now large enough to qualify us for this level. Again, compounding all our earnings, the online calculator tells us that our $1,706,929 investment will grow to an astounding $17,988,849, almost 18 million dollars.
The Winner!
Well, I guess that, if you look at the numbers, Aurum Bank is a clear winner. Their return after 180 days is around 18 million dollars while the return from Gcprofits was “only” in the neighborhood of 12 million. That’s a 6 million dollar difference. Should we give Aurum Bank the prize?
OK, it’s time to come down to earth! NO HYIP ON THIS PLANET WILL PAY THESE KIND OF RETURNS! So, both programs are LOSERS! They are advertising investment plans that are completely out of touch with reality. An investment of $1,000 is not extremely high. So, a smart investor could have done exactly what we did in this article and calculated his potential return for any investment period of his choice. Of course, if he did this and came up with the type of results we did, he should immediately run away from these programs. Any program that advertises investment plans that can lead to these types of profits is nonsense. This is actually a sad exercise because these two programs DO have some nice features. However, if you encounter a program that promises returns like we calculated, steer clear!
I have a confession. I knew that the return for Aurum Bank would be well over a million dollars. We pointed that out in our review of the program (and I was hoping that the Admin would correct it!). In the case of Gcprofits, I knew the interest rates were too high. But, I was surprised at how crazy the returns turned out to be. In both cases it should be clear that a lot of the growth of our principal was due to compounding. See HYIP Insights #11 for an article on compounding. You can read it here. Perhaps the lesson in all this is to be very very careful when choosing a program to invest in. Especially, watch out for programs promising a very high rate of return. In case you’ve forgotten, we discussed all this in great detail in HYIP Insights # 12 entitled “An Investment Formula.” You can read the article here. There are a total of four parts to the article.
I hope that our next “battle” will be between two programs that both make good sense. Then we could make some interesting and educational comparisons. About all we accomplished in this battle was to brush up on our arithmetic!
