But, Are the Translations Accurate?

TY Capital (reviewed here) just published a news release indicating that its website is now available in eleven translations.  This is an unusual achievement for a program that has only been online for barely a month.  However, in the release, TY Capital says that, “In order to avoid translation errors, we are going, in the nearest time, to launch a service to correct improper words or phrases. If you notice a translation error on the website, you will have an opportunity to correct it and get a small bonus. As soon as the service is ready, we will inform you about it in our news.”  This is a bad sign and implies that the translations might have been computer-generated rather than done by human beings who are fluent in both English (the original language of the website) and the language into which the website is being translated.  My feeling is that quality is better than quantity, especially in applications like this where the website is conveying information about an investment program.  An HYIP website is really a contract between the investor and the company.  An error of a single word can radically change the meaning of a financial contract.  In short, websites should only be translated by people that are completely fluent in the two languages that are involved.

However, in fairness, I am only fluent in English; I am unqualified to determine how accurate the translations into the other languages are.  But, it is an ominous sign when an HYIP, itself, suggests that there might be errors in translation of its website into other languages.

Here’s the announcement from TY Capital

The site is translated into 11 languages

As we promised, the site was translated into all languages our investors and partners voted for. We also took into account the votes sent to our chat, telegram-chat and e-mail.

From today, our website is available in the following languages: English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Hindi, Japanese, Chinese, Turkish, Polish, Russian

In order to avoid translation errors, we are going, in the nearest time, to launch a service to correct improper words or phrases. If you notice a translation error on the website, you will have an opportunity to correct it and get a small bonus. As soon as the service is ready, we will inform you about it in our news.

Until then, invite your friends and acquaintances. For it became easier to manage the site for the majority of the inhabitants of the Earth.

Yours sincerely, TY Capital Investment team.
