Ethtrade recently issued a news update reminding its investors and potential investors about its procedures for two-factor authentication. Following is the complete text of the announcement:
Welcome all users of Ethtrade platform!
As you know, your account can be adequately protected from unauthorized entry through two-factor authentication (2FA or 2-stage verification), – a modern system of safety of your data, which requires a combination of two different components (password and your phone) to access your data and money. Learn more about the benefits of 2FA authentication, as well as get detailed instructions how to use it on our website.
Besides, for all users of the platform we have implemented additional methods of protection. When registering a personal account you have to fill in the fields with payment details. If you don’t provide this information within 7 days after registration, the system automatically puts dashes in these field. This means that no one but the technical support staff will not be able to change your payment details – withdrawal is not available without this setting! To add (or to update) payment details you will need to contact the customer support service and confirm that you are the account owner.
We also want to remind you that you need to keep safe login data to your Ethtrade account and your email and never disclose this information to third parties.
