Satoshi Investments — Review

Introduction and Presentation of Investment Plans.

According to its website, “Satoshi Investments designed and implemented a high-tech software to optimize cryptocurrency trades. With this tool, our traders are able to place thousands of mini transactions per minute, maintaining a very high accuracy and thus providing profit in the majority of our operations.”  By using robots (“bots” for short), Satoshi Investments “is able to track and try every indicator constantly on every crypto coin.”  With over 1,000 cryptocurrencies, it is easy to see that the use of bots provides a great opportunity for increased profit.  The way I understand it, this is what Satoshi Investments is involved with.

Investors join hands with Satoshi Investments by providing funds for them to trade with in return for a share of the profits.  And, Satoshi Investments obtains these funds from investors by means of the four investment plans it offers for this purpose.

All of these plans share a number of common features:

They return your deposit as a part of your earnings.
They pay your earnings on a daily basis.
Your earnings are available for withdrawal immediately after being posted in your account.

Following are the unique features of each of the four plans:

3.0% daily for 40 days
$10 – $499
120% total gross return

3.3% daily for 50 days
$500 – $2,999
165% total gross return

3.5% daily for 60 days
$3,000 – $9,999
210% total gross return

4.0% daily for 70 days
$10,000 – $25,000
280% total gross return

As we have discussed many times in previous Blog articles in Emily News, the best way to compare investment plans that have both differing interest rates and terms is to take a look at the daily net interest (DNI) that each plan pays.  In case you have forgotten, DNI is the average net interest that a plan pays per day.  You obtain this quantity by dividing the total net interest for the plan by the number of days in the plan.

For example, in the first investment plan that pays 3.0% daily for 40 days, the total GROSS interest you will receive is 120% (3 x 40).  Subtracting 100% because your principal is included as part of this, you get a total NET interest of 20% (120 – 100).  Finally, dividing this by 40, the number of days in the program, you get a DNI of 0.5% (20/40).  Making the same calculations for the other three programs, you get the following results:

3.0% daily for 40 days
$10 – $499
120% total gross return
20% total net return
0.50% DNI

3.3% daily for 50 days
$500 – $2,999
165% total gross return
65% total net return
1.30% DNI

3.5% daily for 60 days
$3,000 – $9,999
210% total gross return
110% total net return
1.83% DNI

4.0% daily for 70 days
$10,000 – $25,000
280% total gross return
180 % total net return
2.57% DNI

Discussion of Investment Plans and Conclusions.

Looking at the DNIs for each of the investment plans, let’s relate them to the categories that we developed in HYIP Insights #12 entitled “An Investment Formula” (which you can read here).  In that article, we suggested that a DNI of less that 1% is a low interest plan and is likely to be sustainable in the long term.  On the other hand, we suggested that a plan with a DNI of greater than 2% is rather high and might not be sustainable.  Plans between 1% and 2% we called medium interest and probably anything could happen.  Looking at the Satoshi Investments plans, the 3% plan is definitely low interest and the 4% plan is definitely high interest.  The other two programs are medium interest.  However, there is another important factor which is that the 4% plan has a minimum investment of $10,000 which is probably beyond the reach of 95% of all online HYIP investors.  In fact, it is so high that this program should probably be discounted.  Even the 3.5% interest plan with a minimum investment of $3,000 will probably get very few customers.  So, what is left are the two investment plans with DNIs of 0.5% and 1.30%.  From this point of view, Satoshi Investments is a fairly low interest program with a good probability for long term survival.  Satoshi Investments has been online since May 11, just about two months ago.  So, early investors in the 3% and 3.3% plans have already completed their first investment cycle.

OK, let’s put some dollars and cents on all this.  Let’s assume an investment of $500 in the 3.3% for 50 days plan.  Every day we will receive earnings of $16.50 (.033 x 500).  Our total gross earnings will be $825 (16.50 x 50) and, subtracting $500 because our principal is included in this, we get $325 as our total net earnings.  If we imagine this to be evenly distributed over the investment period, we get daily net earnings of $6.50 (325/50).  Expressing this as a percent of our initial investment, we can come up with the DNI for the investment plan which is 1.30% (6.5/500 x 100).  Of course, this is the same result as we obtained using percents (rather than dollars and cents).  Finally, if you divide the daily earnings into the investment, you will get the number of days it takes for the plan to break even which is around 30 days (500/16.50).  So, for the last 20 days of the plan you are earning pure profit.

When Satoshi Investments first went online, Bitcoin was their only payment processor.  However, they have been quite diligent with respect to adding additional processors and they now offer Ethereum, DASH, AdvCash, Perfect Money, and Payeer.

The FAQ is not up to date with respect to all these payment processors and still refers everything to Bitcoin.  For example, the minimum withdrawal is 0.0001BTC which is less than one dollar.  I cannot find any information on the time to process deposits and withdrawals.  Perhaps I missed this?  This is usually included in a company’s FAQ.

Satoshi Investments has a good affiliate program.  It pays commissions of 8% of deposits made on your first level, 3% on the second, and 1% on the third.  For “Representatives,” these commissions jump up to 16%, 3%, and 1%.  Quite a difference.  In order to become a Representative you must have an active deposit of $100 and also fill out an application form.  There is a ceiling of 300 reps and Satoshi Investments constantly weeds out inactive ones.  So, this is a serious program that could significantly add to the income of active recruiters.

Support from Satoshi Investments seems fine.  There is an email address as well as the standard support form.  They also have live chat Monday through Friday during British working hours (9 am to 6 pm GMT).

In conclusion, Satoshi Investments is another HYIP that is involved with cryptocurrency trading.  Their niche apparently is the use of robots to increase the number of trades they can make as well as to eliminate the emotion associated with human beings making the trades.  Neglecting the higher interest investment plans that are probably too expensive for most investors to take advantage of, we can probably classify Satoshi Investments as a low interest program with a better than average chance of long term survival.  If this is your cup of tea, you might want to consider making this program a part of your investment portfolio.  As usual, we have two words of caution: diversify and never invest more than you can afford to lose.  Good Luck!
