An Important Holiday in the US!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vekx <\/a>(reviewed here<\/a>) just sent out a brief Thanksgiving message that I\u2019ll repeat below.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those of you who might not be in touch with everything that goes on in the US, Thanksgiving is an important holiday here.  It is probably second only to Christmas in the attention that it receives.  For many folks, it might even be more important than Christmas as it doesn\u2019t have a religious connection; a person can give thanks for his good fortune independently of his religious affiliation or even if he has no formal religious affiliation at all.  Like many important holidays, most people are able to take off from their normal day jobs and many families are able to get together and catch up on news and chat with relatives that they might not have seen for a year or more.  I went to an annual family reunion on Thanksgiving that was hosted by a niece.  We look forward to this every year and I suspect that there are many many more families that do the same.  Whether or not Thanksgiving is celebrated in your country, the concept is a good one.  One can never be too thankful for the good things he has experienced in life.  Not only physical comforts, but friends, family, experiences — and so much more.  Even for life itself\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n
