Gippo Miners<\/a> claims to be in the business of cryptocurrency mining.\u00a0 They are registered in Thailand and I assume that this is where at least one of their mining facilities is located.\u00a0 The video that you can view on the website shows a very large solar array that we are led to believe provides the power for one of their mining operations.\u00a0 Assuming that the solar facility isn\u2019t tied to a central power grid, an similarly large battery bank is required to keep the mining hardware running after the sun goes down.\u00a0 And, the video walks the viewer through a warehouse full of such hardware.\u00a0 The point is that all of this represents a huge investment.\u00a0 We are also led to believe that Gippo Miners<\/a> has similar operations in other countries. \u00a0Although I may be wrong, I suspect that this online program is an effort to recover at least some of this capital outlay.\u00a0 This is big business…<\/p>\n

My own background is in engineering and I once owned a small company that designed and installed solar power systems.\u00a0 So, even though I know next to nothing about cryptocurrency mining :), I can relate to some of the challenges that would be faced in setting up a business such as is described in the Gippo Miners<\/a> website that uses solar as its power source.<\/p>\n
