Zonders<\/a> (reviewed here<\/a>) just announced that they are offering a new investment plan.\u00a0 This will add to their existing array of five plans.\u00a0 Interestingly, it differs from the present plans in a great many of ways.\u00a0 Conceptually, it overcomes a number of defects of the present plans.\u00a0 First, the new plan pays interest on a daily basis rather than on a working day basis.\u00a0 This is probably not a big deal, but most investors will probably prefer this.\u00a0 Second, two of the original plans don\u2019t pay earnings until the end of the plan — which I am sure investors don\u2019t like at all.\u00a0 The new plan pays earnings on a daily basis.\u00a0 Third, the existing plans don\u2019t return your investment until a plan ends. The new plan returns your investment as part of the daily earnings that you receive.\u00a0 This is a BIG improvement as the risk involved in an investment plan of this type is greatly reduced since the amount of your investment that is held decreases on a daily basis.\u00a0 Fourth and final, the new plan breaks even very quickly.\u00a0 The existing plans don’t break even until they end.\u00a0 In summary, on a conceptual basis, the new Zonders <\/a>plan is perfect.\u00a0 This is the type of investment plan that we recommend.<\/p>\n

All this said, let\u2019s take a look at the numbers that are involved with the new plan.\u00a0 It pays 9% per day for 25 days.\u00a0 Dividing 100% by 9%, you get that the plan breaks even in 12 days (theoretically 11.1 days).\u00a0 This is very fast and investors will like that.\u00a0 After the 12 days are up, you earn \u201cpure profit\u201d for another 13 days.\u00a0 The total gross interest that you earn from the plan is 9% per day times the 25-day length of the plan, or 225%.\u00a0 Subtracting 100% from this since it includes your investment, you get that the plan pays you a total net interest of 125%.\u00a0 If you divide this by the 25-day length of the plan, you get an average daily net interest, or DNI, of 5%.\u00a0 This means that, on the average, you will earn a profit of seven times this in a week, or 35% per week.\u00a0 This is VERY high.\u00a0 The flip side of the coin is that this plan could put the long-term survival the overall program in jeopardy; it might be very difficult for Zonders <\/a>to maintain such high interest payments on a sustainable basis.\u00a0 The saving grace might be that the plan has a rather high minimum investment of $3,000.\u00a0 So, probably few online investors will be able to afford the new plan.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In summary, on the positive side, Zonders<\/a> has finally set up an investment plan of the type that is likely to please most investors.\u00a0 It is also an extremely lucrative investment plan.\u00a0 On the negative side it might be SO lucrative that it puts the survival of the overall program at risk.\u00a0 Fortunately, the high minimum investment that is required for the plan will probably minimize its use (and also minimize the impact on the survivability of the Zonders<\/a> program).<\/p>\n
