Buy CLX for Two Dollars?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is a Facebook announcement by CryptoLux <\/a>(reviewed here<\/a>) announcing the offering of a CLX debit card. It looks like at first the card can be filled with USD as well as a number of cryptos.\u00a0 Later it can only be filled with CLX.<\/p>\n

You will remember that CLX is the cryptocurrency promoted by Cryptolux<\/a>.\u00a0 They posted a number of updates on it a few months ago.\u00a0 Following what I think was the last of these updates, we went to the Exrates exchange website and found out that the value of one CLX was around $.04 (four cents) at that time.\u00a0 This was published in our News Commentary #525<\/em><\/a> on September 18.\u00a0 In the present Facebook announcement (that I am reprinting below), CryptoLux <\/a>indicates that they are selling CLX at a 50%-off “bargain price” of only $2.\u00a0 Naturally, I went back to the Exrates exchange to see what the coin is trading for on the public market.\u00a0 To my surprise, the value of the CLX\/USD pair is only .0057.\u00a0 So, right now one CLX is only worth around ONE HALF CENT on the public market.\u00a0 This implies that CryptoLux <\/a>is selling CLX at roughly 35,000% of market value (2\/.0057 x 100).\u00a0 I may have missed something here.\u00a0 However, the bottom line is that the investor considering purchasing CLX should do some homework first.\u00a0 Be SURE that you are spending your money wisely.<\/p>\n
