Source: Michael van de Poppe<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As Cointelegraph reported, Bitcoin could consolidate within a narrow range between $122,000 and $124,000 over the next few days as it builds momentum to break higher into price discovery.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Bitcoin\u2019s price momentum is accelerating<\/h2>\n<p>Private wealth manager Swissblock stated that Bitcoin\u2019s upward momentum remains strong, despite the slight correction from record highs.<\/p>\n<p>Swissblock shared a chart revealing a \u201crare\u201d setup where the latest rally saw Bitcoin price momentum break through resistances without major corrections.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote data-ct-non-breakable=\"undefined\"><p>\u201cMomentum is igniting at resistance, not fading from it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2025-10\/0199be52-bb23-7f2c-876b-583c2fb5ce0f\" \/><figcaption><em>Bitcoin price momentum. Swissblock<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cNevertheless, a bit of short-term friction is needed to build deeper acceleration,\u201d Swissblock added.<\/p>\n<p>Echoing this observation, onchain data provider Glassnode pointed out that Bitcoin\u2019s relative strength index (RSI) has increased to 66 from 44 over the last seven days, indicating a 50% rise in upward momentum.<\/p>\n<p>This reflects a \u201cstronger buying momentum and growing market confidence,\u201d Glassnode wrote.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Related: <\/strong><\/em><em><strong>Gold rally implies $644K per Bitcoin in \u2018equivalent value\u2019 \u2014 VanEck<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, spot demand is accelerating with spot cumulative volume delta (CVD) turning positive and rising to $68.7 million from -$73.6 million over the last week.<\/p>\n<p data-ct-non-breakable=\"undefined\">Trading volume on centralized exchanges also increased by 32% to $9.27 billion, from $6.99 billion, over the same period.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2025-10\/0199be52-c030-7472-8dde-cc12fe051622\" \/><figcaption><em>Bitcoin: Spot CVD and spot volume. Although, maintaining this elevated activity will be key to sustaining the uptrend.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Onchain data reveals key Bitcoin price levels to watch<\/h2>\n<p>Looking at Bitcoin\u2019s short-term holder (STH) cost basis reveals that the STHs are still active and not exhausted.<\/p>\n<p>STH cost basis refers to the average purchase price of investors who have held Bitcoin for less than 155 days.<\/p>\n<p>The price touched the \u201cheated\u201d band of this metric on July 14, when it hit its previous all-time high of $123,200, but did not enter the overheated zone.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If it rises to retest the upper band \u2014 matching the one standard deviation above the STH realized price \u2014 it could hit fresh all-time highs at $133,460.<\/p>\n<p>Higher than that, the next resistance is the \u201cover-heated\u201d band at $150,000 \u2014 matching the two standard deviations above the STH realized price.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This suggests there\u2019s still room for expansion before we see any panic selling or euphoria.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2025-10\/0199be52-c57d-78ce-8d5d-3bad35a41d57\" \/><figcaption><em>Bitcoin short-term cost basis bands.
