Bitcoin\u2019s dominance of the overall crypto market cap continues to grow, passing 65% to reach its highest levels since early 2021.<\/p>\n<p>However, as\u00a0Cointelegraph noted, BTC dominance hitting 70% has historically coincided with the start of altcoin strength.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, popular trader and analyst Rekt Capital added that this cycle may not need a tag of the 70% zone for altseason to begin.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2025-07\/0197dfc8-8c08-7762-9aca-d13e9ec50e06\" alt=\"\" \/><figcaption><em>Bitcoin crypto market cap dominance 1-week chart.
