Thailand\u2019s financial regulator has approved USDT for trading and payments.<\/p>\n

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC) has recognized Tether\u2019s USDT as a legitimate cryptocurrency. Now, crypto trading platforms are allowed to list the stablecoin on their platforms and use it for transactions.<\/p>\n

The new regulations will take effect on March 16, 2025. According to authorities, these measures aim to enhance business flexibility in the digital asset sector.<\/p>\n

The initiative\u2019s approval followed discussions with the public and businesses. Currently, USDT accounts for approximately 40% of cryptocurrency trading volume in the country. Overall, Thailand is one of the most crypto-friendly jurisdictions and ranks among the top 20 countries globally in terms of digital asset adoption.<\/p>\n

It is expected that the formal recognition of USDT as a legal payment method will create favorable conditions for increasing both domestic financial activity and attracting external investment assets.<\/p>\n

Overall, such steps by national governments contribute to strengthening the global financial infrastructure and expanding earning opportunities for crypto investors.<\/p>\n
