Bitcoin (BTC) is due to hit $135,000 within the next year \u2014 unless a 25% BTC price crash ruins its prospects, says a new prediction.<\/p>\n

In an X update on Oct. 9, veteran trader Peter Brandt delivered his expectations for Bitcoin through 2025.<\/p>\n

Brandt eyes $135,000 BTC price by next September<\/h2>\n

BTC price action may be consolidating below all-time highs for a seventh month, but that could be \u201cinsignificant\u201d as the bulk of Bitcoin\u2019s bull market gains lie ahead.<\/p>\n

For Brandt, the latter half of Bitcoin\u2019s four-year halving cycles always produces the sharpest price upside, meaning that his latest BTC price target is conservative compared to what should come after.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeriod since Mar 2024 appears as insignificant, brief pause in ongoing trend,\u201d part of his post stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy target is $135,000 in Aug\/Sep 2025.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There is a caveat, however: if bears gain control and BTC\/USD falls considerably, $48,000 \u2014 around 22% below the current spot price \u2014 is the prediction\u2019s make-or-break level.<\/p>\n

\u201cClose below $48K negates my chart analysis,\u201d Brandt confirmed.<\/p>\n

Reacting, Keith Alan, co-founder of trading resource Material Indicators, was cautiously optimistic.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis aligns pretty closely with my macro outlook for this Bitcoin cycle, although my target is slightly lower in the $125k – $130k range, and I\u2019m not sure about the timing,\u201d he told X followers.<\/p>\n

Long-term bullish on Bitcoin<\/h2>\n

As Cointelegraph reported, consensus continues to favor BTC\/USD\u2019s upside continuation, with 2025 being the favorite year for its next macro top.<\/p>\n

Numbers for the next all-time high are varied, with one recent model seeing $275,000 per coin by the end of next year.<\/p>\n

In August, popular analyst CryptoCon likewise saw highs in 2025 while calling this year\u2019s trip to $73,800 \u201cconfusing.\u201d CrpytoCon\u2019s own model places particular emphasis on Bitcoin\u2019s first-ever halving event in November 2012.<\/p>\n

Other bets, meanwhile, have failed to come to pass. Calls for new highs as soon as September went unfulfilled despite last month offering uncharacteristically high returns of just over 7%.<\/p>\n
