First Thoughts on Rahman and Young.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We recently began a \u201cSilver\u201d listing Rahman and Young Limited<\/a> on the EmilyNews<\/em><\/strong> Monitor.\u00a0 They claim to be an investment company with an 18-year history of successful operations behind them.\u00a0 The first news release in the website indicates that they expanded their operations to include the online world in January of this year.<\/p>\n

Typical of many online HYIPs, it is difficult to find a precise explanation of exactly how they conduct their business.\u00a0 The best explanation I can find is in the FAQ section of their website where they answer questions about a \u201cgeneric\u201d investment company.\u00a0 I am assuming that they would include themselves in this group.\u00a0 Here are the two questions I am referring to:<\/p>\n

What is a website of an investment company?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The website of an investment company is an online service which enables the Internet users to transfer money to traders working in the investment company for the purpose of money management. The site of an investment company allows the investors to create their own personal investor account and receive daily profit by managing their investments.<\/p>\n

How does an investment company earn profit for investors?<\/strong><\/p>\n

An investment company accumulates the money of all its investors in the investment funds managed by the company traders. The traders use collective money of the investors and their own funds to conduct purchase and sale operations on currency and stock markets. Normally the investment company pays a stable profit to its investors, and whatever is earned on top of that profit is withheld by the company as a bonus for the work, wages to the traders and other employees.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rahman and Young<\/a> offer five different investment plans.\u00a0 As your investment amount increases, so too do the interest earnings that you receive.\u00a0 However, at first glance, it looks like only the lowest interest plan has a minimum investment level that will be affordable by all online HYIP investors.\u00a0 With a minimum investment of $2,500, even the second investment plan in the group will be out of reach for most investors.\u00a0 There is an even greater problem with the minimum investment for the remaining three investment plans.<\/p>\n

The investment plans only pay interest on \u201ctrading days.\u201d\u00a0 This pretty much means the normal five-day work week.\u00a0 However, apparently there are a number of banking holidays in the UK when interest also will not be paid.\u00a0 To keep things simple, we will not try to factor that into the equation.\u00a0 All of the five investment plans run for 80 working days.\u00a0 This is probably getting close to four months.\u00a0 So, these would probably be considered to be long-term investment plans by HYIP standards.<\/p>\n

Interest is paid daily (on business days) and, depending on the plan that you choose, can vary from 1.9% all the way up to 2.5%.\u00a0 However, please remember our earlier statement that probably only the first investment plan paying 1.9% will be used by most investors.\u00a0 The daily interest that you receive is \u201cgross\u201d interest meaning that it includes your investment.<\/p>\n

We will get into the details of how these investment plans work when we review the program a day or two from now.\u00a0 This review will be a little more complicated than usual because the program is based on business days rather than calendar days.\u00a0 Please stand by.<\/p>\n
