The Bit Contract Investment Plans.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A few days ago, in our \u201cFirst Thoughts\u201d article about Bit Contract<\/a>, we provided a brief summary of their three investment plans.\u00a0 I\u2019m going to repeat it here as it is a good overview of the plans.<\/p>\n

Bit Contract<\/a>\u00a0offers three investment programs.\u00a0 They all pay interest daily and return your investment as part of your earnings.\u00a0 The gross daily interests that the plans pay are 9%, 11%, and 13%.\u00a0 These are rather high and, while the investment plans will undoubtedly be very profitable, the sustainability of the overall program might be questionable.\u00a0 The terms of the investment plans are 20, 30, and 40 days.\u00a0 Depending on your point of view, they would probably be classed as short to medium length investment plans.\u00a0 Everything is in Bitcoin and, translating the investment limits of the three plans into dollars, it looks like almost all investors will be using the lowest interest plan as you would need 2 BTC to use the two higher interest plans.\u00a0 Two BTC is getting close to $20,000 and that\u2019s a bit high for online investment \u2014 unless a company can provide verifiable proof of its history as a successful investment program.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Here are the details about the three plans as they appear in the website:<\/p>\n

9% daily for 20 days
\n.001 \u2013 2 BTC<\/p>\n

11% daily for 30 days
\n2.001 \u2013 10 BTC<\/p>\n

13% daily for 40 days
\n10.001 \u2013 100 BTC<\/p>\n

Something that I like about these investment plans is that they are \u201corderly.\u201d\u00a0 The daily gross interest that is paid increases by an even 2% as you move up through the plans.\u00a0 Likewise, the term of the plans increases by an even 10 days.\u00a0 Of course, while order might make a group of investment plans easier to understand, order doesn\u2019t necessarily make them good ones.\u00a0 That\u2019s what we\u2019ll talk about next.<\/a><\/p>\n

Analysis of the Bit Contract Investment Plans.<\/strong><\/p>\n

First, let\u2019s take a look at how profitable these investment plans are.\u00a0 At Emily News<\/em> we have developed a unique way of doing this.\u00a0 We determine the \u201cDaily Net Interest\u201d — DNI for short — of an investment plan.\u00a0 Simply stated, DNI is the total net profit that you earn from an investment plan averaged out over the length of the plan (to give you a daily rate).\u00a0 So, this quantity takes into consideration BOTH the interest paid AND the length of the investment plan.\u00a0 It is important to remember that you might not actually receive this DNI as profit on any given day; some days you will earn more, some less.\u00a0 This is simply the AVERAGE daily profit or net interest.<\/p>\n

With that as an introduction, and looking at the 9% investment plan, we first determine the total gross interest you receive by multiplying the daily gross interest of 9% by the 20-day length of the plan to get a total gross interest of 180%. \u00a0Since this includes your investment, you must subtract 100% from it to get your total net interest which, in this case would be 80%.\u00a0 Finally, dividing 80% by the 20-day length of the investment plan, you get a DNI of exactly 4%.<\/p>\n

If you do the same arithmetic for the other two investment plans, you get the following results:<\/p>\n

9% plan.\u00a0 DNI = 4%
\n11% plan.\u00a0 DNI = 7.67%
\n13% plan.\u00a0 DNI = 10.5%<\/p>\n

Next, let\u2019s determine how long it takes each of these investment plans to break even.\u00a0 This is simple to do.\u00a0 You just divide 100% by the daily gross interest that the plan pays you.\u00a0 For example, in the 9% plan., you divide 100% by 9% to get around 12 days.\u00a0 If you do the same arithmetic for the other two plans you get:<\/p>\n

9% plan.\u00a0 Break even in 12 days.
\n11% plan.\u00a0 \u00a0Break even in 10 days.
\n13% plan.\u00a0 Break even in 8 days.<\/p>\n

Discussion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

First of all, we should look at the \u201cbig picture.\u201d\u00a0 Both the 11% and 13% plans have high minimum investments.\u00a0 Specifically, for the 11% plan it is 2 BTC.\u00a0 One Bitcoin now equals around $7,500.\u00a0 So, the minimum investment for this plan is around $15,000.\u00a0 This is extremely high.\u00a0 No one should invest this much money in ANY online investment program unless the plan has documented proof of both the legitimacy of the company and the viability of its investment plans.\u00a0 Unfortunately, few, if any, HYIPs provide this type of information.\u00a0 So, the wise investor should think of this program as offering only one investment plan.\u00a0 Needless to say, the 13% plan is off the chart with a minimum investment of 10 BTC (around $75,000!).\u00a0 Aside from this logic, it is probably a simple fact that few if any online investors have this kind of money to play around with.\u00a0 So, for that reason alone, the 11% and 13% investment plans will probably not be used.\u00a0 So, in what follows, we will primarily discuss the 9% plan and only occasionally make reference to the 11% and 13% plans.<\/p>\n

A lot happens because the Bit Contract<\/a>\u00a0 investment plans pay a high rate of interest.\u00a0 First, let\u2019s talk about the good news.\u00a0 We just determined that all the plans break even in between 8 to 12 days.\u00a0 This is fast.\u00a0 For the 9% plan that breaks even in 12 days and is 20 days long, you are recovering your investment for the first 12 days and then, after that, you are earning pure profit.\u00a0 In the other two plans, you break even a little more quickly and, then have a much longer period of pure profit because these plans are much longer.<\/p>\n

But the most significant result of the high rate of interest is a correspondingly high profitability.\u00a0 For the 9% plan, there is a DNI of 4%.\u00a0 An average profit of 4% per day is equivalent to a weekly profit of 28%.\u00a0 That\u2019s a LOT.\u00a0 So, this is a very profitable investment plan — if it survives.\u00a0 That, of course, is the question.\u00a0 Perhaps you remember from HYIP Insights #12<\/em><\/a> where we suggested that programs having investment plans with DNIs higher than 2% might have a hard time surviving in the long term.\u00a0 Well, this plan has a DNI that is TWICE this amount.\u00a0 So, while the investor can make a lot of fast money with this investment plan, it could be a risky venture.\u00a0 However, in fairness to the folks at Bit Contract<\/a>, we must say that we certainly hope that this will work out to be one of the rare HYIPs that manage to sustain a high rate of return for an extended period of time.<\/p>\n

From the point of view of risk to the overall program, it is probably fortunate that the 11% and 13% investment plans will only be used rarely, if at all.\u00a0 The more they are used, the greater the burden will be on Bit Contract<\/a> to meet its interest payment obligations.<\/p>\n

Conclusions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bit Contract<\/a> offers three investment plans.\u00a0 However, because of the high minimum investments required by the 11% and 13 % plans, it is likely that only the 9% plan will be used.\u00a0 This is actually good for the program as it will decrease the obligations of the company for making interest payments.\u00a0 Even though it offers the lowest gross daily interest rate, the 9% investment plan is still extremely profitable.\u00a0 In fact, it is so profitable that the investor should think carefully before investing in this program as it could be difficult for the company to sustain interest payments in the long term.<\/p>\n
