Jazzle Games<\/a> (reviewed here<\/a>) just announced a video contest whereby you can receive a bonus of up to 14% on deposits or on your account balance.\u00a0 Please check out the announcement that I\u2019ve reprinted below for details.\u00a0 Here are a few thoughts that crossed my mind as I read through the announcement.\u00a0 First, it really isn\u2019t a contest in the sense that there will be first, second, third, etc. prizes.\u00a0 All the announcement says is what should be in your video and where you should post it and that you will receive a surprise bonus \u201con your balance or on a deposit at the discretion of the administration.\u201d\u00a0 Second, it is not clear whether or not ALL videos that are submitted and conform to the guidelines will receive a bonus.\u00a0 In my mind, that\u2019s an important omission from the \u201ccontest\u201d rules.\u00a0 A player will always want to know how many prizes will be awarded and exactly what his chances are of winning the game.\u00a0 Third, the \u201ccontest\u201d rules include a LOT of words that must be included in the video.\u00a0 I guess it\u2019s possible to do that.\u00a0 But, it might restrict creativity a bit.\u00a0 Fourth and final, the bonus that is received isn\u2019t really very much.\u00a0 The max is 14% and the min is 4% (or maybe nothing — if you don\u2019t win at all. \u00a0Check my second point above).\u00a0 Let\u2019s assume that your bonus is 10% or $10 on a $100 deposit.\u00a0 If you spend a few hours making a script and shooting a video, you have to ask yourself if the bonus is worth your time — especially if you might not receive any bonus at all.<\/p>\n

My suspicion is that the \u201ccontest\u201d will result in many videos but that they won\u2019t be very good.\u00a0 Personally, I would prefer to see a contest with a limited number of substantial prizes.\u00a0 That might motivate investors to come up with some really creative work.\u00a0 It might even cost the administration of Jazzle Games<\/a> LESS.\u00a0 But, that all depends on how many prizes they intend to award in the present contest —one of the important contest conditions of the contest that are unknown.<\/p>\n
