Use Good English!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In our recent News Commentary #293<\/em> about Octoin<\/a>, I criticized their use of the English language in a number of their recent updates.\u00a0 I am a native English speaker and it was sometimes hard for me to understand exactly what Octoin<\/a> was saying in these updates.\u00a0 Of course, I got the general idea.\u00a0 But, some of the details weren\u2019t quite clear.\u00a0 There is really no excuse for this and it would be a small expense for Octoin<\/a> to hire a translator to insure that ALL copy they publish in the English language is PERFECT.\u00a0 Nothing else should be acceptable.<\/p>\n

Almost a year ago, in HYIP Insights #2<\/em>, we published an article about this issue.\u00a0 Perhaps it\u2019s time to bring it to your attention again.\u00a0 This article was for the benefit of BOTH admins and investors.\u00a0 I hope that someone from Octoin<\/a> reads it!<\/p>\n

HYIP Insights #2 \u2014 Language!<\/strong><\/p>\n

This article is for both Investors and HYIP Admins.\u00a0 I hope that everyone takes it to heart\u2026<\/p>\n

English in my native language.\u00a0 So, I can do a reasonably good job at communicating with it in writing.\u00a0 If French is your native language, writing it will, likewise, be easy for you.\u00a0 If you\u2019re Japanese, it will be no problem for you to write using the characters of your language.\u00a0 This is true of anyone when it comes to writing their own mother tongue.\u00a0 Of course, there are uneducated \u2014 or even mentally handicapped \u2014people in all countries who, unfortunately, have trouble writing their own language.<\/p>\n

Well, this is background\u2026<\/p>\n

Most HYIP websites are written in English.\u00a0 Sometimes the English is so bad that I get the impression a school child wrote it \u2014 or that the writer was a little bit dumb.\u00a0 Of course, I really know that this is not the case.\u00a0 It\u2019s simply the work of someone who is not a native English speaker\u2026<\/p>\n

But, Investors, isn\u2019t this a \u201cred flag?\u201d\u00a0 Here you are, perusing a website supposedly representing a highly successful company that promises to share their success with you.\u00a0 You should be wondering why, if they are so successful, they don\u2019t hire a translator to put their script into a more polished version of the language they are trying to communicate in.\u00a0 Translators are pretty cheap.\u00a0 Maybe the reason is that they aren\u2019t really as successful as they claim to be.\u00a0 Maybe you should steer clear of that type of website\u2026<\/p>\n

You may not agree with me, but that\u2019s the way my thinking goes when I encounter a website with script that is sometimes so mixed up it is hard to understand what the writer is talking about.\u00a0 By far, the worst situation is when such a writer writes a LOT!\u00a0 You would think that he\/she would know better.\u00a0 If you can\u2019t speak the language you are communicating in and can\u2019t afford to hire a translator, at least be smart enough to know when to be quiet!<\/p>\n

So, for Investors, you might want to be extra careful when encountering a website where the written language is deficient.\u00a0 For Admins, if I were in your shoes, I would never ever publish a website where the script is less than perfect.\u00a0 What you write paints a picture of you.\u00a0 Do you want the Investors you are trying to attract to think of you as an uneducated dummy?\u00a0 Do you want them to think that you don\u2019t have enough funds to hire a decent translator?<\/p>\n

The written language tells more that what the actual words say.\u00a0 Investors, look for these hidden messages.\u00a0 Admins, make sure that you are sending the type of messages you want your customers to receive.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
