Clarification of BistInvest Investment Plans.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the last week or so, we at Emily News<\/em> were forced to place BistInvest<\/a> on \u201cProblem\u201d status due to the fact that their website wasn\u2019t fully functional.\u00a0 We are happy to say that now it is and that the site has been given a very nice face lift.\u00a0 Furthermore, BistInvest<\/a> is now up to date on payments to investors.\u00a0 So, all\u2019s well that ends well.\u00a0 Of course, BistInvest<\/a> is now back on paying status on the Emily News<\/em> monitor.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

I decided to take a closer look at the new website and discovered something that might be different than what was on the original one.\u00a0 Now I see that the investment plans run for a certain number of CALENDAR days and that interest is paid on the number of working days within this period.\u00a0 Previously, I had assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that the number of days indicated for the plans are WORKING days and, therefore, that the number of calendar days for each plan is considerably longer.\u00a0 There is now a very nice calculator that goes along with the listing of the investment plans that helps to further clarify all this. \u00a0So, to keep you all up to speed on the profitability of this program, I think it might be helpful if I do a quick CORRECTED analysis of the investment plans that it offers.<\/p>\n

Here is the summary information for the investment plans:<\/p>\n

BIST 30 Days<\/strong>
\n1%\/day for working days in 30 calendar days
\n$10 – $1,000<\/p>\n

AMEX 50 Days<\/strong>
\n2%\/day for working days in 50 calendar days
\n$200 – $20,000<\/p>\n

NYSE 100 Days<\/strong>
\n3%\/day for working days in 100 calendar days
\n$3,000 – $300,000<\/p>\n

The calculator can be used to determine the number of working days in the calendar day period that you will be investing in.\u00a0 Depending on which day of the week you will be investing on, this number can probably change a little bit.\u00a0 However, based on what the calculator says right now (Friday, November 10), I’m going to list the number of working days the calculator gives for each investment plan:<\/p>\n

BIST 30:\u00a0 20 working days
\nAMEX 50:\u00a0 35 working days
\nNYSE 100:\u00a0 70 working days<\/p>\n

First let\u2019s take a look at the BIST 30 plan.\u00a0 Earning 1% per working day, you will earn a total of 20% in 20 working days.\u00a0 Averaging this out over the 30-calendar day period, you get an effective daily net interest (DNI) of 0.67% (20\/30).\u00a0 Note that this is NET interest (profit) because your initial investment is returned to you at the end of the investment plan.\u00a0 Making the same calculation for the other two investment plans, we get the following results for the DNI of each plan:<\/p>\n

BIST 30:\u00a0 0.67%
\nAMEX 50:\u00a0 1.40%
\nNYSE 100:\u00a0 2.10%<\/p>\n

In HYIP Insights #12<\/em> (that you can read here<\/a>), we suggested that programs having investment plans with DNIs of less than 1% are likely to be able to survive in the long term whereas programs having plans with DNIs greater than 2% are less likely to survive.\u00a0 Programs with plans having DNIs between 1% and 2% could go either way depending on a number of factors.\u00a0 In HYIP Insights #16<\/em> (that you can read here<\/a>), we gave you our thoughts on some of these factors.<\/p>\n

There is still something else to consider.\u00a0 Since the 3% NYSE plan requires a minimum investment of $3,000, not too many online investors will utilize it as it will be beyond their reach.\u00a0 Hence, most investment will be done in the two lower interest plans which will relieve BistInvest<\/a> of the obligation for high interest payments to its investors.\u00a0 This, of course, is good news for the survivability of the program.<\/p>\n

So, everything considered, our conclusion is that the BistInvest investment plans offer a very satisfactory return while not being so excessive that the lifetime of the program will be in jeopardy.<\/p>\n

To show how all this would work, let\u2019s assume the minimum investment of $200 in the AMEX plan and see what would happen.\u00a0 For a daily interest rate of 2%, the return on WORKING DAYS would be $4 (.02 x 200).\u00a0 Since there are 35 working days in the plan period, your total interest earnings would be $140 (4 x 35).\u00a0 At the end of the 50-day calendar period, your investment of $200 would also be returned to you.<\/p>\n
