Introduction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A few days ago we published a brief \u201cFirst Thoughts\u201d article about BistInvest<\/a> (that you can read here<\/a>).\u00a0 In it we noted that, although the program only recently began a listing on the Emily News<\/em> monitor, it has actually been online for around four months.\u00a0 So, it already has a track record of survival behind it.\u00a0 In the article, we also noted that the BistInvest<\/a> website doesn\u2019t tell too much about the activities of the company other than that it\u2019s involved with investment management and that this doesn\u2019t help the potential investor with the decision of whether or not to invest.\u00a0 However, on the plus side, we emphasized the fact that the \u00a0company DOES have an online track record and that this might be enough of an enticement to attract additional investors to their program.\u00a0 Please also refer to News Commentary #194<\/em> (you can read it here<\/a>) for information on changes made in the BistInvest<\/a> program since the First Thoughts article was published.<\/p>\n

To repeat something I wrote in the First Thoughts article,<\/p>\n

I would like to call your attention to the informational video on BistInvest<\/a> that you can very conveniently access by simply clicking on the small video screen icon on the BistInvest<\/a> listing in the Emily News<\/em> monitor.\u00a0 This is a new feature of Emily News<\/em> and, if you browse through the monitor listings, you will see that many of the programs have such videos.\u00a0 They are a really quick way to get an overview of these programs.\u00a0 We hope that you will take advantage of them.\u00a0 Looking at videos is a lot more fun that turning pages in a website!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The BistInvest Investment Plans.<\/strong><\/p>\n

BistInvest<\/a> has three investment plans.\u00a0 All of them return your principal at the end of the plan and all of them pay daily interest on WORKDAYS — five days per week.\u00a0 Here is the information on the three investment plans as provided in the BistInvest<\/a> website.<\/p>\n

Bist Pre<\/u>
\n1%\/day for 10 working days
\n$10 – $1,000<\/p>\n

Bist Pro<\/u>
\n2%\/day for 20 working days
\n$200 – $20,000<\/p>\n

Bist VIP<\/u>
\n3%\/day for 30 working days
\n$3,000 – $300,000<\/p>\n

The first thing we should clarify is the number of calendar days each plan runs for.\u00a0 On the average, there are 22 working days per month.\u00a0 So, for the Bist Pre plan, you would divide 10 (the number of working days in the plan) by 22 (the number of working days in a month) to get the number of months in the program.\u00a0 Doing this, we find that the plan is roughly 0.45 months long.\u00a0 Taking a month to be 30 days long, the Bist Pre plan will therefore be around 14 days long (.45 x 30).\u00a0 You can do the same arithmetic for the other two plans and you will wind up with the following results:<\/p>\n

Bist Pre<\/u>
\n14 calendar days (0.45 months)<\/p>\n

Bist Pro<\/u>
\n28 calendar days (0.91 months)<\/p>\n

Bist VIP<\/u>
\n41 calendar days (1.36 months)<\/p>\n

We normally think in terms of calendar days (or months).\u00a0 So, these numbers might be more meaningful when considering the pros and cons of the BistInvest<\/a> investment plans.<\/p>\n

Next, let\u2019s look at how long it takes each of these plans to break even.\u00a0 This is very easy to determine.\u00a0 You simply divide 100% by the percent daily interest you are paid.\u00a0 So, for the Bist Pre plan, you would break even in 100 days (100\/1).\u00a0 Well, the plan is only 10 days long.\u00a0 So, you WON\u2019T break even during the plan.\u00a0 You will have to wait till your principal is refunded at the end of the plan to see a profit.\u00a0 For the Bist Pro plan, you will break even in 50 days (100\/2) which again is longer than the plan.\u00a0 For the Bist VIP plan, you will break even in 34 days (100\/3).\u00a0 So, the third plan also won’t break even during the plan.\u00a0 In summary, for all the plans, you will have to wait till your investment is returned at the end of the plan in order to realize a profit.<\/p>\n

A final thing to notice about the BistInvest<\/a> investment plans is that the first two are affordable to most people with minimum investments of $10 and $200.\u00a0 The third plan, the Bist VIP plan, with a minimum investment of $3,000, is probably reserved for the more wealthy online investors.<\/p>\n
