First Thoughts on Doubler.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doubler <\/a>just began a \u201cSticky Diamond\u201d listing on the EmilyNews<\/em> monitor.\u00a0 We should note that this listing category is very special as it requires a company to pay the listing fee for FOUR MONTHS in advance.\u00a0 Although nothing is for sure, the implication is that the program intends to be around for a goodly amount of time.\u00a0 Doubler <\/a>has already been online for a little over a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doubler <\/a>is unusual as an \u201cinvestment\u201d program as it provides absolutely no indication to the investor as to what type of business he is investing in.  All that the website says is that they will double a person\u2019s money in 200 hours.  Here\u2019s the specific statement from the website:<\/p>\n\n\n

Nothing could be simpler, I suppose.  However, the investor will, of course, wonder where all the money that is promised to him is coming from.  Lacking other information, the implication is that the company pays old depositors from revenues received from new ones.  Unfortunately, this is the definition of a \u201cPonzi\u201d scheme.  Of course, many online HYIPs are in this same category.  However, almost all make a claim — sometimes a very dubious one — as to how they generate their revenue.  We refer to this as the \u201cLegend\u201d behind a company (please refer to the article in HYIP Insights #6<\/a><\/em> for more information on HYIP \u201cLegends\u201d).  Doubler <\/a>doesn\u2019t have a \u201cLegend.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
