The Petit Finance Investment Plan.

As we indicated in our “First Thoughts” article about Petit Finance, they only offer one investment plan that is very easy to understand.  What we said about the investment plan in that article is all that you need to know and I am repeating it here:

For the online investor, Petit Finance offers a single investment plan that pays 5% per day for 30 days.  Your investment is returned to you as part of your earnings.  The minimum investment is $5 and the maximum is $10,000.  That’s all there is to it.  So, unlike some other online investment plans, this one is extremely easy to understand.

Analysis of the Petit Finance Investment Plan.

It is simple to determine when the Petit Finance investment plan breaks even.  Just divide 100% by the 5% daily return that you receive to get that the plan breaks even in exactly 20 days.

When analyzing an investment plan, we also determine the average daily net interest (DNI), or daily net profit, that you will receive.  This is simply the total net interest, or profit, that you will receive from an investment plan averaged out over the length of the plan.  This is a very useful quantity to know when you want to compare two different investment plans.  For example, if one plan pays you an average of 3% net interest per day and another pays you only 1%, the first plan is obviously three times more profitable.

OK, the Petit Finance investment plan pays you a daily gross interest of 5% per day.  Since the plan is 30 days long, the total gross interest that you will receive will be 150% (5 x 30).  Subtracting 100% from this amount because it includes your investment, you get a total net interest of 50%.  Finally, averaging this out over the length of the investment plan by dividing by its 30-day length, you get a DNI of 1.67% (50/30).

Discussion.

In HYIP Insights #21, we suggested guidelines for selecting an online investment plan.  I am happy to say that this simple investment plan by Petit Finance completely conforms to these suggestions.  And, since this is the ONLY investment plan offered by Petit Finance, the implication is that the overall PROGRAM is on the right track (it is possible for an online investment program to have one investment plan that conforms to our suggestions but others that do not).  Specifically, the investment plan pays interest that includes your return; it breaks even within a month; and it has a DNI that is less than 2%.  Of course, with a DNI of 1.67%, we are talking about an average weekly profit of seven times this or nearly 12% — which is very respectable.  In short, if we at EmilyNews were to design an investment plan, this is the type of thing that we would come up with.

Earnings Example.

Let’s assume an investment of $100 into the Petit Finance investment plan.  A return of 5% per day would amount to $5 per day.  So, you can see that, after 20 days, you will have earned $100 and will have broken even.  At the end of the 30-day investment period, you will have earned a total of $150 (5 x 30) for a net profit of $50.  Not bad at all for 30 days!

Conclusions.

Petit Finance offers one investment plan that is very well-designed and simple to understand.  Returns are lucrative but not to the point where they would seem to compromise the ability of the program to survive in the long term.  We suspect that many investors will be attracted to this program.

I hope this information is helpful.
