This program moved to CLOSED! Do not invest there!

In order to make our discussion of the BlueSkyInvest investment plans easier, let’s first repeat what we found out about them from Part 1 of the review.  You can read Part 1 here.

First, we decided to limit our discussion to only three of the plans and to use the interest rates corresponding to the lowest level of investment (0 – 5 BTC).  Here’s the essential information on these three plans:

Lifetime Daily              4%/day forever
12 Days                       12% per day for 12 days
After 15 days               160% after 15 days

Second, we determined the breakeven point for each of the plans:

Lifetime Daily              25 days
12 Days                       9 days
After 15 days               15 days

Third, and final, we determined the DNI for each of the three plans.  DNI depends on the length of an investment plan.  For the Lifetime Daily plan, since the number of days in the plan is variable, we assumed four lifetime possibilities: 90, 180, 270, and 360 days.  With this as a preface, here are the DNIs for the three investment plans:

Lifetime Daily              2.89% (90 days), 3.44% (180 days), 3.63% (270 days), 3.72% (360 days)
12 Days                          3.67%
After 15 days                4%

These are the important FACTS about what we feel will be the three most popular of the BlueSkyInvest investment plans.

Let’s look at the breakeven points first.  They are good news.  Even the Lifetime Daily plan breaks even in under a month.  The other two plans break even in a much shorter time.

Both the Lifetime Daily and the 12 Days investment plans pay earnings on a daily basis.  This type of plan is generally preferable to plans like the After 15 Days plan where you have to wait until the end of the plan to receive any of your earnings.  However, other factors are involved as we will see in a moment.

Now let’s look at the DNI for each of the plans.  In general, they are all fairly high, meaning that all of the BlueSkyInvest investment plans are very lucrative.  Even the Lifetime Daily plan is homing in on 4%.  An average profit of 4% per day is equivalent to 28% per week.  That’s a LOT.  In the article in HYIP Insights #12, we suggested that programs offering investment plans with DNIs higher than 2% might have difficulty in surviving in the long-term.  This is, of course, only our suggestion.  Perhaps with wise management decisions and a reliable income stream, it might be possible for the administration of BlueSkyInvest to make their program a long-term survivor.  However, this will obviously be more difficult than if they only promised returns equal to half the present amounts.  It is always the situation that, along with high returns comes high risk.

Assuming that you do decide to invest with BlueSkyInvest, the next question is, which of the three investment plans is the best one to use.  If you review the “FACTS” given previously, you will realize that this is not an easy decision to make as each plan has its own pros and cons.  I will try to list them here:

Lifetime Hourly

Pro:  perpetual daily returns
Con:  lowest DNI

12 Day

Pro:  daily returns, shortest length of plan
Con:  medium DNI

After 15 days:

Pro:  highest DNI
Con:  No return until end of plan, medium length plan

With this information in front of you, it can be very hard to make a decision.  For example, suppose that you don’t want to take a chance on the program surviving long enough for the Lifetime Daily plan to be a real winner, but you do want to invest with BlueSkyInvest.  Which of the remaining two plans is the best one?  I’m afraid that there is no definite answer.  The cautious investor will probably prefer the short 12 Day plan because he is receiving a daily return and the amount of his investment that is at risk will therefore decrease on a daily basis.  The more adventurous investor will probably prefer the After 15 Day plan because of the higher return, even though his entire investment will be at risk until the plan ends.  So, the decision of which plan to invest in will probably depend on the personality of the investor — because the numerical returns between the different plans aren’t that great.

Earnings Examples.

The BlueSkyInvest website contains a very nice calculator that you can use to predict your earnings from each of its investment plans.  Using 1 BTC for simplicity (that’s quite a large investment — around $4,000), here’s what the calculator tells you for the three investment plans we are considering here:

Lifetime Daily

Daily return = .040 BTC
Weekly return = .280 BTC
Monthly return = 1.200 BTC

12 Days

Daily return = .120 BTC
Total return = 1.440 BTC
Total (net) profit = .440 BTC

After 15 days

Total return = 1.60 BTC
Total (net) profit = .60 BTC

Looking at these figures, it is very difficult to determine which plan is the best.  Perhaps there IS no best investment plan.  The most sensible way to make a decision is probably to use the approach given in the previous section of this review.

BlueSkyInvest offers a total of 12 investment plans of four different types.  From a practical point of view, probably only three of the plans will be widely used.  They are all different types of plans: a “perpetual” plan that provides daily returns, a limited term plan that provides daily returns (and includes your investment as part of the return), and a limited term plan that returns your investment and your earnings at its conclusion.  All of these plans are very lucrative — and, therefore, somewhat risky.  The pros and cons of the different plans pretty much balance out so that a decision of which plan to invest in will mostly depend on the temperament of the investor.
